“IAP is a non-governmental organization established with the aim of updating and promoting science of pathology worldwide,” she told the English-language paper Iran Daily, adding that the organization also seeks to ensure that patients receive effective and proper treatments.
She said 520 Iranian pathologists are currently members of IAP.
“Iran joined IAP in 1972. However, Iranian division of the organization was established in 2014,” she said, adding IAP is expecting Iran to assist less developed nations since it is among the pioneering nations in terms of pathology.
