Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham made the remarks on Saturday in reaction to Carter’s comments during an interview with The Atlantic published on Friday.
Carter said in the interview that America’s Arab allies need fewer expensive weapons systems and more will to battle ISIL and Iran on the ground.
