Death toll of the two suicide attacks on a church in Pakistan’s Peshawar has reached 81 as more injured died of wounds in hospital, doctors said Monday.

Seventy-eight people were killed and 106 injured in two suicide blasts at the jam-packed church on Sunday. 
 
Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Zaheerul Islam has confirmed that two suicide bombers entered the church and blew themselves. 
 
An investigation committee has started its work and visited the site on Monday to collect evidence. 
 
Muslims in Peshawar showed solidarity and helped the Christians in digging graves and visiting them in hospital and houses. Jamaat-e-Islami party provided coffins for those killed in one of the worst terrorist attacks in Pakistan. 
 
A banned Taliban-linked Jundullah group claimed responsibility for the attack. 
 
Experts say at least 16 kilogram explosives were used in the blasts. 
 
Angry Christians continued protest across Pakistan on Monday and condemned the attacks. 
 
In Islamabad protesters blocked the main highway linking the capital with Rawalpindi. Hundreds of vehicles were stuck up on the Islamabad Express Highway and the people could not reach offices on time. 
 
Police arrived at the scene to convince the organizers to disperse and open the road. However the demonstrators had refused.
