Talking to IRNA, Prof. Hasan Askari Rizvi said that attack on Syria by the US would be a destabilizing factor in the region.
“It will not serve the US interests rather undermine US reputation further,” he noted. He said there is hardly any chance that any government or group in the world would publically supports US intervention in Syria.
The analyst reiterated that the Middle East countries have failed to stop US advancements in the region.
He regretted that some Arab states are supporting the dissident groups in Syria so that the crisis remains unresolved.
Rizvi said that in principle it is right that dialogue is the only way to solve Syrian crisis but for successful dialogue both parties should accommodate each other. “In case of Syria the dissident groups are demanding the ouster of the Syrian government which is out of question, there is serious problem at the operational role of the dialogue in Syria,” said the analyst.
He said if Washington attacks Syria, the Zionist regime would be very happy, adding the sole objective of the Zionists is to destabilize the World of Islam and divide Muslims.
