Qalebani expressed satisfaction with current situation of feedstock delivery to petrochemical complexes.
"Alongside with expanding new petrochemical plants, NIOC has taken into consideration the issue of meeting their feedstock and is ready to meet their needs," the official said.
Replying to a question on meeting oil industry needs to equipment, Qalebani noted that the country's potential for meeting oil industry needs was high.
Stressing on formation of professional consortia by Iranian manufacturers, NIOC's top executive said: by providing funds, using domestic manufacturers' capabilities and reinforcing consortia, not only there is the possibility to meet domestic needs but the country will be able to export goods and services to other countries.
Earlier managing director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Abdolhosain Bayat had said that by startup of South Pars gas field phases 12, 15, 16 , 17 and 18 in next year, gas delivery to petrochemical units would rise.
Bayat noted that a number of petrochemical plants were facing shortages in view of gas feedstock which is expected to be removed under the Ministry of Petroleum planning.
