"The home-made tubular centrifuge (used) for the production of vaccine and medicine was unveiled," Qaneyee said.
"The tubular centrifuge has applications in the pharmaceutical industry, specially producing new-formula drugs," he said, adding that the system can also be used to produce different kinds of vaccines.
Qaneyee said in case the Iran-made centrifuge goes under mass-production, it can compete with its European rivals and it price will be even cheaper than some of the Asian tubular centrifuges.
In August, Qaneyee had announced Iran's plans to build centrifuges for producing biotechnological products.
"The centrifuge machine is needed for producing medicines and biotechnological products but they (the western countries) do not provide us with the machine due to the sanctions (imposed against Tehran)," he told FNA at the time.
"We extremely need it (the centrifuge machine) for producing new biotechnological products, and accordingly building such national centrifuge machines has come on our agenda," he added.
Iran has taken wide strides in science and technology, particularly in medical and medicinal fields, in recent years.
