Manouchehr Jafarzadeh told IRNA that the rumors are unfounded as Iran has the Interests Section issued more than 9,000 visas.
He explained that with an exception of 9 countries, citizens of 190 countries face no pre-conditions to receive Iran's visas which can be collected in airports valid for 30 to 45 days.
Ani Lucas, deputy director of Mir Corporation travel agency also told IRNA that in last couple of months, the number of people applying to visit Iran has increased for more than 200 percent.
