Iranian President Hassan Rouhani held talks with Omani Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah on Sunday in Tehran, saying Tehran welcomes expansion of economic ties with Muscat.
He then referred to Oman’s policies toward the promotion of stability and peace in the region and hailed the neighboring country’s constructive cooperation on the process of Iran’s nuclear case.
“It is imperative for both countries to take advantage of the presented opportunities in the post-sanctions atmosphere in Iran for further boosting of joint cooperation especially in economic areas,” said President Rouhani.
He also noted investment opportunities in ports of Oman Sea, saying “private sectors in both countries can expand their cooperation in the fields of ports, aviation, railway, and banking."
