Iranian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Hojatollah Faghani met with the Governor of National Bank of Tajikistan, Jamshid Noor Mohammad zadeh last week.
Tajik spokesman said that two Iranian Banks named Tejarat and Kefalat were active in Tajikistan but due to sanctions they weren’t able to work.
Economic experts believe that opening banks in Tajikistan and currency exchange in this country will result in improving financial situation and reinforcing Tajikistan's currency.
Iran is Tajikistan's second strategic partner after Russia.
