The primary issue of the country, currently, is the election, said Ayatollah Kazem Seddighi, on Friday while addressing worshippers present at Tehran’s Grand Musalla of Imam Khomeini.
He held that the voting turnout of the nation re-demonstrates that they are politically alive, and make decisions for themselves.
It is one of the merits of the revolution that people feel responsible to safeguard their religion and revolution, highlighted the Grand Ayatollah.
The senior cleric asserted that casting vote articulates, ‘we believe in the Islamic Revolution, the martyrs of the revolution, Imam Khomeini and the causes of him.’
The stronger turnout will lead to a stronger parliament whose members would be more efficient, loyal to the Islamic Revolution, and supportive of the impoverished classes of the society, reiterated the clergyman.
He also criticized those who are campaigning against the Guardian council and maintained that they are biased toward the entity to later cast doubt over the authority of the Parliament.
