Reza Jafarzadeh told reporters on Tuesday prominent US and EU airplane manufacturers would arrive in Tehran in the upcoming weeks; “air transportation is an industry badly hit by three decades of sanctions and international pressures. The Islamic Republic of Iran however enjoys the highest rate of growth in air transportation in the Middle East, thanks to its location in a strategic geographic place, hosting flights of two major clusters of airlines, Asia-Pacific and Europe with lion’s share in global aviation,” Jafarzadeh detailed. “We have excellent conditions to serve passing airlines, to shorten routes, providing air security, and hence have an attractive market for foreign investments.”
