The conversation was held by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov who is also special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa.
Iran's Amir Abdollahian stressed importance of resolving the Syrian crisis through diplomatic ways and by holding negotiations between various Syrian sides.
Further, the two officials underlined that the continuation of the use of military ways would only make the conditions more complicated.
They stressed that crises in Yemen and Syria would just be settled through diplomatic solutions.
