Imminent lift of sanctions to pave way for coop. with West

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a Monday press conference with his Danish counterpart Kristian Jensen, who is visiting Tehran with a high-ranking political and economic delegation.

Zarif expressed satisfaction with the visit of the Danish delegation to Tehran which could further expand relations that had been through some difficulties in the past due to sanctions.

The Iranian top diplomat maintained that the two countries could cooperate in the fields of culture, education, clean energy, water management, banking and other economic-related fields.

“Further consultations with Denmark could also pave the way for deeper discussions on finding ways to eradicate extremism, terrorism and Islamophobia,” said Zarif.

“There is no obstacle to the presence of European companies in Iranian markets,” stressed Zarif.

Jensen for his part commended the long-standing relations between Iran and Denmark, adding the impending implementation of the nuclear agreement between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries can further expand the two countries’ capacities for cooperation on agriculture, transport and renewable energies.

Iran has the potential to become a hub for political and economic cooperation and help improve the situation in the region, he added.
