Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe and America Majid Takht-Ravanchi, who is in a South-America tour, met on Wednesday with Minister for Foreign Trade of Ecuador Mr. Diego Esteban Aulestia Valencia and discussed matters of bilateral interest.

During the meeting which was held in attendance of senior experts and counselors of the ministries of both sides, the two sides stressed on establishing direct route of bilateral trade to avoid extra-expenses of mediatory hands.

In the past, there were transactions but via third party countries which led to a more expensive trade, said Takht-Ravanchi adding that the post-sanctions era is an opportunity for deepening and broadening bilateral relations.

He voiced hope that the joint bilateral commission would held its next meeting in Tehran once the Ecuadorian minister Valencia visits Iran.
