The festival was held for highlighting the connections between cinema and family.
The three-day event which opened on Friday, screened a number of Iranian films namely Track 143 by Narges Abyar, A Cradle for Mother by Panahbarkhoda Rezai as well as Painting Pool by Maziar Miri. The works were dubbed into Russian.
During the festival’s opening ceremony, Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Mahdi Sanaei talked about the expansion of bilateral ties and said that boosting cultural relations of Iran and Russia are as important as economic and political ties. “Iran’s cinema, as a spiritual one, can convey the concept of family and spiritual values to the Russians,” he added.
