Felicitating Tanzanian President John Magufuli, Rouhani expressed the hope the two countries would further expand relations in economic, political and cultural fields, during the tenure of the new president.
He also further wished health, prosperity and success for the people of Tanzania.
Tanzania's ruling party candidate, John Magufuli, was declared winner on Thursday of a presidential election, after the national electoral body dismissed opposition complaints about the process and a demand for a recount.
