Iran, Afghanistan Keen to Expand Economic, Trade Ties

Iranian Economy Minister Ali Tayyeb Nia and his Afghan counterpart Omar Zakhilwal in a meeting in New York on Saturday discussed expansion of mutual cooperation.

 

 
During the meeting held on the sidelines of the World Bank's annual meeting, the Iranian and Afghan economy ministers underlined the need for broadening the bilateral ties, specially in economic and trade areas.
 
The Iranian minister pointed to the two countries' cultural commonalities and friendly ties, and called on his Afghan counterpart to pursue implementation of the bilateral agreements already endorsed by Tehran and Kabul.
