In an interview with the Lebanese daily al-Safir, he said Iranians believe no one except the Syrian nation is entitled to make decisions for the future of the country and destiny of President Bashar al-Assad.
He noted that according to Iranians the issue of President al-Assad remaining in office or stepping down is something which is to be settled only through free and healthy elections supervised by the international community.
