"Iran acts precisely upon the NPT rules and doesn't accept the imposition of anything beyond the NPT rules," member of the parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Evaz Heidarpour told FNA on Monday.

Implying a West-driven demand by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to visit Iran's Parchin military site, the prominent lawmaker reiterated that "the Islamic Republic of Iran would never accept the westerners' precondition for visiting the centers which are not related to the nuclear activities".

Heidarpour underlined that the western powers should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not need to take orders or permissions from anyone, and that no country or group can intimidate Iran into giving up its rights.

In relevant remarks in December, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said that the next round of talks between Iran and Group 5+1 (the US, Britain, Franc, Russia and China plus Germany) to settle the standoff over Tehran's nuclear program must be based on the rules and regulations of the NPT.

Iran's deputy chief negotiator Ali Baqeri and EU foreign policy deputy chief Helga Schmitt in a phone talk on February 5 agreed that the next round of talks between Tehran and the Group 5+1 be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on February 26.
