Chinese foreign minister made the remarks in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on the sidelines of Munich Conference on Syria.
The significant role of Iran should be heeded more than before, he said to reporters.
In the meeting, the Chinese minister called for finding a way out of the current crisis in Syria.
He also called for continued positive role of Iran in Syrian development and described Iran's role in the current negotiations on Syria as positive.
