Jannati made the remarks in a meeting with Jordanian Minister of Islamic Endowment and Religious Affairs Haiyel Abdulhafez in Tehran.
Referring to relations between Iran and Jordan, he said the relations between the two countries experienced many ups and downs but the current status is very satisfactory.
There are ample untapped potentials for expansion of cooperation on endowments and Iran deemed necessary to sign a memorandum of understanding to develop Islamic ties with Jordan, Jannati said.
Endowment is a very valuable thing in Islam and among divine religions and the same policy applies in the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said.
The two culture ministers exchanged views on their experience in the field to help broaden mutual cultural cooperation between the two countries.
All should endeavor to eradicate root-cause of extremism and annihilation of extremist groups such as Daesh, Jannati said.
