Ali Tayebnia, Iran’s minister of economy is in Istanbul to take part in the meeting of Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC). He leads a delegation of three (including his deputies) to the forum, which is also part of the first edition of Committee meeting in Ankara.
Iran could actively engage in the workgroups of the Committee given its dynamic Islamic financing arrangement in place. The 5th conference on Tourism Health also by the Committee will be held in Tehran in 2016. Tayebnia, who is in Istanbul, will have meetings with the Committee members to discuss financing of economic projects in Iran by the COMCEC.
