Talking to reporters here in west of the country on Tuesday, he said one major issue discussed during the recent visit of the Russia President Vladimir Putin to Tehran was the need for further cooperation to fight terrorism.
He said there were no doubts as to sincerity of Iran and Russia in fighting terrorism.
He further criticized the policies of certain countries that follow double-standard approaches towards the anti-terrorism campaign.
The ambassador also hoped that other countries too would take notice of the danger of terrorism and adopt common approaches towards the issue.
He referred to facilitating issuance of visas to visit Russia as one of the documents signed during the visit of President Putin to Iran.
Iran and Russia enjoy many common interests especially in the foreign policy issues which help consolidate bilateral ties, he said.
