Zarif rejects sanctions regime for resolving problems

Iran’s Foreign Minister has criticized the use of sanctions as a way for resolving problems, saying that the West needs to stop exerting pressure when both sides are close to reach an agreement.

 

 
Mohammad Javad Zarif made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian in Yerevan on Tuesday.
 
Emphasizing the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, Zarif reiterated that the Islamic Republic had no problem with proving it.
