Mohammad Taqi Hosseini and al-Saliti discussed bilateral ties and grounds for more effective cooperation between Islamic Republic of Iran and Qatar. Hosseini pointed to a former visit by deputy-minister of Labor in international affairs with Qatari ambassador to Tehran as indication of friendly relations, and of more potential cooperation grounds.
