Haiti’s police clash with protesters in Port-au-Prince

Thousands of angry demonstrators have once again spilled into the streets of the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince, to call for the resignation of the government.

Angry anti-government protesters clashed with police as they burned tires and threw stones at officers who responded with tear gas.

The demonstrators want both the Haitian President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe to step down and the long-delayed elections to be held.
