On the second day of Kazakhstan Grand Prix Taekwondo Competitions in Astana, Iranian athletes grabbed one gold and one silver medals.
Mehdi Khodabakhshi defeated his rival Steven Lopez – five time world champion with three Olympic medals – in the final competition to catch the gold medal in the minus 80-kilogram class; Khodabakhshi added 40 points to his Olympics records.
