UNESCO recognizes Shahre-e Soukhteh as int’l heritage

Iran’s deputy-head of cultural and heritage organization has said UNESCO has recognized Shahr-e Soukhteh as a world heritage.

 

 
Mohammad Hassan Talebian told Mehr News that UNESCO recognized Shahr-e Soukteh as a world heritage site of the 3rd millennium BC as a major local commercial center between Mesopotamia and Send valley and central Asia. Such facts in addition to placid nature of the city helped recognition of the city.
