Iran would not be a competitor for markets against Russia

Iran’s minister of industry, mine, and trade has said Iran has proposed for the EU countries to provide their gas.

Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh told German daily NRC Handelsblad that Iran would not be a competitor for gas markets in Europe against Russia.

“We seek to play a significant role the future of gas markets,” said the minister, “ we do not want to compete with Russia, but know the fact that Europe’s gas needs are increasing in daily basis, and seek a part in that market.”
