Erdogan to Visit Tehran January 28

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to visit Tehran on January 28, his office announced. Erdogan will confer with high-ranking Iranian officials on bilateral ties and the latest regional developments during his stay in Tehran.

 

 
 
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu after a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Istanbul earlier this month said that Erdogan was to pay a visit to Iran.
 
Davutoglu said that a decision on formation of High Iran-Turkey Cooperation Council will be made during Erdogan’s visit to Tehran and that arrangements will be made for a visit to Ankara by President Hassan Rouhani.
