Adviser to Pakistani PM escapes assassination attempt

Adviser to Pakistani Prime Minister Sunday escaped unhurt in a bomb attack which killed six people including three policemen, police said.

 

 
Amir Muqam, also a former federal minister, was heading to his hometown when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded near his car in northwest Shangla district. 
 
 
 
A police officer Abdullah Khan said that the blast destroyed a police van, killing the police guards. 
 
 
 
Amir Muqam survived five previous attacks and one attack on his residence had killed a former provincial minister.
