According to seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 12:53 hours local time (0923 GMT).
The quake was epicentered in an area located at 28.23 degrees latitude and 51.45 degrees longitude.
There is no report on any damage caused by the earthquake.
