FM: Encountering terrorism in need of close regional interactions

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a meeting with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri emphasized that effective campaign against terrorism and extremism is in need of close regional interactions and evermore cooperation.

 

 
 
Zarif referred to the continuation of the crisis in Syria and expressed hope that sound logic and rationalism would rule among the influential governments in the region, leading to resolving the regional problems, including in Syria, and restoration of peace and stability in that country, to decrease the pains and sorrows of the Syrian people.
 
 
 
The foreign minister referred to his recent meeting with the UN-Arab League special envoy on Syria, Akhzar Brahimi in Geneva, emphasizing, “The Islamic Republic of Iran is still ready for using its full political capacities and might, side by side with the other countries in the region, to contribute to problem resolving in Syria, particularly in human dimension.”
