Iran, Tajikistan presidents call for expansion of ties

Iranian President Hassan Rohani and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon in a meeting on Friday underlined the need for promotion of bilateral relations.

 

 
 
The two presidents met on the sidelines of the 13th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit which opened in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan a day earlier. 
Rohani and Rahmon explored the ways to expand Tehran-Dushanbe relations in different fields. 
 
President Rohani is also expected to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin during his two-day stay in Kyrgyzstan.
