Serbia, Kosovo Finish Latest EU-Brokered Talks with No Deal

After 14 hours of negotiations in Brussels between Serbian and Kosovan leaders, the two sides failed to reach an agreement


 
 


Though Kosovo declared independence in 2008, Serbia has not yet recognized the largely ethnic Albanian breakaway region, RT reported.

Normalized relations are a prerequisite for Serbia joining the EU, while Kosovo also seeks an association agreement with the bloc.

The EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton had summoned both leaders for a last-ditch attempt weeks after declaring the talks concluded.
