Ebrahim Rahimpour, Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific and Commonwealth Affairs, arrived in Ankara on Tuesday and held talks with Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Fereydoun Sinirlioğlu on regional developments and bilateral relations.
Sinirlioğlu expressed his satisfaction with the Tuesday talks, saying “Iran is Turkey's major neighbor and as such, always attaches great significance to meetings and talks with Iranian officials.”
Referring to the nuclear deal between Iran and the 5+1 group of countries, he said “Turkey is pleased with Iran's recent achievements in nuclear negotiations and the lift of sanctions.”
“It is now time for both countries to expand bilateral cooperation by relying on friendly relations in political and economic areas,” he added.
