Senior navy commander: Building naval systems indigenized in Iran

Commander of the Iranian Navy’s Missile Program Rear Admiral Ali Vafadar announced that the country is able to meet all its needs in manufacturing naval equipment.

'We have been able to build all our needed (naval) systems domestically,' Rear Admiral Vafadar said in the Northeastern province of Khorassan-e Shomali on Friday night.

He underlined that all of the navy’s military hardware are indigenized and they have been designed and manufactured by the young Iranian scientists.

“We have attained self-sufficiency in manufacturing different kinds of destroyers and missiles,” he added.

The Iranian Navy unveiled new equipment and achievements on Monday in a ceremony participated by Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army Brigadier General Abdolrahim Moussavi.
