Talking to IRNA on Sunday, Vyaceslav Blukernitski who is a deputy for the Institue of Russian Oriental Studies referred to the Monday visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin to Iran and noted that ties between the two countries were based on respect for bilateral interests, equality and strategic cooperation.
He said this was the reason for numerous Russian experts to back Moscow expansion of relations between the two countries.
