Iran, IAEA will reach agreement in next meeting, ambassador

Iranian Ambassador and Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency Reza Najafi on Thursday hoped that Iran and the UN nuclear agency will reach an agreement in the upcoming talks.

Talking to IRNA after session of Board of Governors, Najafi said that the Islamic Republic of Iran agrees to idea of IAEA Director-General Yukiya Amano that the new modality should not contain any unclear and ambiguous terms. 
 
Najafi said that Iran has declared in the meeting of Board of Governors that it is resolute to solve the nuclear issue. 
 
He hoped that the other parties will also show political will to to reach an agreement in the upcoming negotiations. 
 
The ambassador made it clear that Iran will never give up its peaceful nuclear program which is in line with Non-Proliferation Treaty. 
 
Najafi said that he has criticized report of IAEA director general for Iranian viewpoints have not been included about the negotiations. 
 
Iranian readiness for cooperation does not mean that it will abandon its rights regarding nuclear energy, he said.
 
The ambassador said that statement of Non-Aligned Movement was read out at the session of Board of Governors and that the 120-member world body has underlined support for Iranian nuclear rights.
